Why choose a homeopathic remedy for yeast infection and candida
Yeast infections are an unfortunate reality that between 50 and 75 percent of women will experience at least once in their lifetime. For many of us they can be a recurring reality that is unpleasant at best and often very painful. If you have medical coverage or if your infection is serious or lasts more than a few days or a week you should go see a doctor. But many women either cannot afford the doctor, or would rather care for their infections at home when possible for other reasons. I am one of those women, so here are the steps that I take to prevent, reduce, and cure yeast infections.
My homeopathic remedy for yeast infection; what to do
One of the first things that you can do for yourself is make sure to take plenty of probiotics. One of the most natural ways to get probiotics is through yogurt, especially yogurts with extra probiotics. If like me you have a dairy sensitivity you might be better off taking a daily supplement like Biotin. Also if you have a yeast infection it is best to avoid foods with yeast, obviously, but also avoiding foods that can turn into yeast (or candida) in your digestive system, like sugars. Obviously eating healthy is the best way to avoid all sorts of disorders, and exercising regularly as well as getting good sleep. Making sure to let things breathe down there is really important too; that’s why I wear only cotton underwear, especially at night. At night I actually prefer to sleep in a pair of cotton men’s boxers to give more breathing room.
My homepathic remedy for yeast infection; what not to do
Obviously avoid STDs because those can lead to all sorts of infections in the vaginal area. Using a condom is always the best choice unless you are in a mutually monogamous relationship (and even that only works if you have both only ever been with each other, which is what I have opted for). Also avoid putting things into the vaginal tract that can irritate the natural environment, things like douches, fragrances, or scented tampons. A big no-no also if your tract is particularly sensitive to germs and infection is public pools, hot tubs, and even baths (unless you wash before bathing and do not put any scents or soaps in the water; as a child I got infections from sitting in a soapy bath).
My last piece of advice; never stop researching! This is by no means an exhaustive list of homeopathic remedy for yeast infections, so keep at it and good luck!
